History
Urdu College was first settled by Baba-e-Urdu Maulvi Abdul Haq in 1949.[3] Then this school was given the situation with a University on 13 November 2002 by official request and is the main college in Pakistan to educate principally in the Urdu language. It was set up by consolidating the Federal Urdu Arts College and the Federal Urdu Science College, both in Karachi. President Pervez Musharraf was the college's first chancellor. Since 2018, President of Pakistan Dr. Arif Alvi and Prof. Dr. Rubina Mushtaq are the chancellor and bad habit chancellor of the college respectively.[3]
